Terms of Service

The agreement between you and IForevents when you use the service

Last updated: 2026-10-13

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the IForevents analytics platform: the website, the dashboard, the ingest and analytics APIs, the SDKs and the MCP server (together, the "Service"), operated by Innovafour ("we", "us"). By creating an account or sending data to the Service you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the organization you represent.

1. Acceptance of Terms

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. If you accept on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind it. The signup form records your acceptance (date, account, version of these Terms). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Use License

Subject to these Terms we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your organization's own analytics. The SDKs are published under the open-source license shipped with each package; the hosted Service itself is licensed, not sold. The self-hosted edition is covered by section 4. You keep every right to the data you send ("Customer Data"); we receive only the rights needed to provide the Service.

3. Use Restrictions

You will not: send data you have no right to collect, including personal data collected without a lawful basis; use the Service to track people in ways prohibited by law; attempt to access other organizations' data or bypass tenancy, quota or rate limits; probe, scan or attack the Service except under a written security testing agreement; resell the Service without a written reseller agreement; reverse engineer the hosted Service; or use the Service to build a competing analytics product from its non-public interfaces. We may suspend accounts that exceed plan limits after the grace period described in the plan documentation, or that create risk for other customers.

4. Self-Hosted Edition

The self-hosted edition (the install repository innovafour/iforevents-selfhosted and the IForevents container images it installs) is not part of the hosted Service. It is free to use under the IForevents Self-Hosted License, which governs it together with these Terms where the license is silent. That license allows personal use and internal use: running IForevents for your own organization's products, websites and operations, including inside a for-profit business, directly or through a contractor who operates the instance only for you.

Commercial use is not allowed without a separate written commercial license from Innovafour, whether or not you charge for it: offering IForevents to third parties as a hosted, managed or software-as-a-service product; renting, selling or otherwise giving third parties access to instances, projects, organizations or accounts, including hosting analytics for clients; and reselling, sublicensing, bundling or white-labeling the self-hosted edition. Write to [email protected] for a commercial license. Versions of the self-hosted edition published before 3 October 2026 were distributed under the MIT License, and copies obtained under it keep that license.

5. Accounts, Plans and Billing

Plans, quotas and prices are published at iforevents.com/docs/billing. Paid plans are billed by our merchant of record, Paddle, whose checkout terms apply to payment processing. Free plans are hard-limited after a seven day grace period; paid plans keep working above their included volume, and extra volume is paid through prepaid packs at the published rate. You may cancel at the end of the current period from the billing page; fees already paid are not refunded except where the law requires it.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error free; the public status page reports incidents and maintenance windows.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability arising out of the Service in any twelve month period will not exceed the fees you paid for the Service in that period (or, for free plans, one hundred US dollars). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Links and Third-Party Content

The Service links to and integrates third-party services (payment processing, sign-in providers, bot protection, MCP clients). Their terms govern your use of them; we are not responsible for third-party content or services.

9. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes are announced by email to organization owners and on the release notes at least 14 days before they take effect; continued use after that date is acceptance. The current version and its date are always at iforevents.com/legal/terms.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction stated in the order form or, absent one, the jurisdiction of Innovafour's registered seat, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the courts of that jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections where you live.
