Getting Started
Install or sign up, create a project, and send your first event in under five minutes
1. Install
mkdir iforevents && cd iforevents
curl -fsSLO https://raw.githubusercontent.com/innovafour/iforevents-selfhosted/main/docker-compose.yml
curl -fsSLO --create-dirs --output-dir clickhouse https://raw.githubusercontent.com/innovafour/iforevents-selfhosted/main/clickhouse/iforevents.xml
docker compose up -dDetails, LAN and domain setups: Self-hosting.
Prefer not to run servers? Skip this step and create an account on IForevents Cloud: the Free plan includes 2,000,000 events a month, no card needed (Cloud).
2. Create the administrator
Open http://localhost:8010. A fresh server asks for your name, e-mail, a password and the organization name, and signs you in. That form appears once; later accounts are created from Settings → Team. On Cloud the signup form plays this role: it creates your organization and makes you its owner. See Accounts & sign-in.
3. Create your first project
The onboarding asks for a project name and a timezone. When the project is created you get two credentials:
- Project key: public, ships inside your apps, grants ingest only.
- Project secret: shown once, belongs on trusted servers, pairs with the key for read access.
Copy the secret before leaving the page. If you lose it, rotate it from Settings → Project.
4. Pick your platform and send an event
The snippet screen shows ready-made code with your key and your server's address filled in:
- Mobile and desktop apps: Flutter SDK
- Web: the browser snippet
- Backends and scripts: HTTP ingest
Then follow Send your first event to see it land on the dashboard.
