IForevents 1.0.0 is live
The hosted analytics platform is open: signup, plans, an MCP server for AI assistants, and SDKs for every stack
Published 2026-09-13 · IForevents team
Update, September 2026: IForevents now also ships as a free self-hosted edition, installed with one command. Read Self-hosted first for what changed; the hosted edition described below keeps its signup and free plan.
Today we open IForevents 1.0.0 to everyone. What started as an open-source event API is now a hosted analytics platform with accounts, plans and billing, a security baseline we publish, and an MCP server so your AI assistant can answer questions about your product data.
What is IForevents
IForevents collects events from your web, mobile and server applications and turns them into dashboards, funnels, retention and user timelines. You send events with an SDK or a single HTTP call; we store them in ClickHouse under your organization, enforce your plan's quota and retention, and give you the dashboard, the API and the MCP server to read them back. The SDKs are open source and the platform images are public; the hosted service adds the accounts, billing and operations around them.
Key features in 1.0
- Signup and teams. Create an account with your work email (or Google and GitHub), verify it, invite teammates as owners, admins or viewers, and manage projects and API tokens from the dashboard.
- Analytics. Events explorer, top events, time series, funnels, retention and user profiles per project, with exports that mask personal fields.
- Plans and billing. Free (5 M events a month, 90-day retention), Pro, Scale and Enterprise. Checkout, invoices, plan changes and cancellations are self-service; quotas warn at 80 % and 100 % and paid plans never lose data over the limit.
- Security. TLS everywhere, EdDSA sessions verified through JWKS, hashed credentials, tenant isolation verified by automated tests, an audit log with CSV export, per-plan rate limits and a published security review.
- MCP server. Connect Claude or any MCP client to
mcp.iforevents.com, authorize with OAuth 2.1 (PKCE, consent in the dashboard) or a static token, and ask about your projects, events and users in plain language with twelve read-only tools. - SDKs and docs. Flutter, browser, JavaScript, Python and Go clients, an OpenAPI-generated API reference, and documentation in English and Spanish.
Getting started
- Create your account: the onboarding wizard creates your first project and shows the snippet for your platform.
- Send an event from the snippet, or with one request:
curl -X POST https://api.iforevents.com/v1/events/track \ -H "X-Project-Key: pk_live_..." -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"event_name":"signup_completed","event_type":"track","properties":{"plan":"free"}}' - Open the dashboard, or connect your MCP client with the MCP guide.
The Getting Started section covers every platform.
What's next
- 1.1: usage analytics for the dashboard itself (opt-in), self-service account deletion, an EU data region.
- 2.0: funnels and retention through MCP, SSO/SAML for teams, more export formats.
Release notes for every version live in the changelog.
