MCP Server

Let AI agents query your analytics

Availability

The MCP server is part of IForevents Cloud and included in every plan (the Free plan allows 10,000 queries a month, see Plans): it authenticates through the Cloud accounts service (OAuth 2.1 or API tokens from Settings → API tokens). A self-hosted install does not expose it yet.

The IForevents MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any other Model Context Protocol client query your analytics in natural language.

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets an AI client discover and call tools exposed by a server, with the user's consent. IForevents exposes read-only analytics tools over Streamable HTTP at https://mcp.iforevents.com/mcp.

Guarantees

  • Read-only: tools query data; nothing creates, changes or deletes projects, events or members.
  • Scoped: a token carries scopes (analytics:read, projects:read, users:read, export:read, users:pii) and optionally one project.
  • Rate-limited: 120 calls per minute per token, 600 per organization, with heavy tools weighing 5 points and metadata tools 1; monthly query quotas follow the plan (10,000 on Free).
  • Audited: every tool call is written to the organization's audit log.

Getting started

  1. Create a token under Settings → API tokens with the scopes you need (setup), or connect through OAuth from a client that supports it.
  2. Add the server to your client's configuration.
  3. Ask questions: "what were the top events last week for the mobile app?"

Tools

list_projects, get_overview, get_timeseries, get_top_events, list_event_names, get_event_property_values, query_events, funnel, retention, segment_by_property, list_users, export_events_sample. See the tools reference.
